EPL Transfer: Man United Moves To Sign Ronaldo's Teammate, Aboubakar From Al-Nassr

Having parted ways with Cristiano Ronaldo, Manchester United is reportedly making moves to sign the Portugal national team captain’s teammate from Al Nassr.

Recall that Ronaldo left Old Trafford in November 2022 following a controversial interview in which the 37-year-old strike criticized the club and said he had “no respect” for manager Erik ten Hag.

The player’s controversial and damaging interview with Piers Morgan was criticized by many sports lovers, though some commended the player’s courage to speak up about issues at Old Trafford.

Ronaldo subsequently signed a staggering £175 million per year deal for Saudi Arabia’s Al-Nassr in late December 2022.

Reports emerging on Monday from multiple transfer sources, however, speculated that the Red Devils are set to shop for Cameroon striker, Vincent Aboubakar, as Ronaldo’s replacement.

Aboubakar and Ronaldo are currently teammates at Al Nassr, Naija News reports. With the January transfer window now open, the Red Devils are looking to bolster the attack and are evaluating a number of options.

Alongside Barcelona’s Memphis Depay, Al-Nassr’s Cameroonian forward Aboubakar has emerged as an option for the English Premier League club.
