EPL: Everton Frustrates Man City To 1-1 Draw

Manchester City’s chance of contending in the 2022/2022 Premier League table top with Arsenal was further frustrated on Saturday evening by Everton after they were held to a 1-1 draw at home.

Should Arsenal win their match today against Brighton, Pep Guardiola’s side would be seven points behind the Gunners.

Today’s match makes it the 3rd drawn for Manchester City this season, ending the year 2022 with 36 points on the league table.

Naija News understands that City were dominant in the match against Everton today, garnering 76 per cent ball possessions and 16 goal attempts, but only converted one of their three shots on target to a goal.

Everton had only two goal attempts but converted one into a goal to equalize Man City’s early lead.

Man City had opened the scoring in the 24th minute through Erling Haaland, who recorded his 21st goal of the season.

Everton, however, equalised in the 64th minute through Demarai Gray. Gray finished his beautiful individual effort with a superb strike from inside the box. Ederson was just a bystander as the ball flew off the post into the top right corner.

I have Won Everything: Ronaldo Speaks On Why He Joined Al NassrCristiano Ronaldo in Al Nassr Shirt

On Saturday, Portugal’s national team captain, Cristiano Ronaldo, revealed why he signed up for the Saudi Arabia club, Al Nassr.

Naija News reports that Ronaldo joined Al Nassr on Friday for an annual pay of $75 million. The development ended the speculations about the Portuguese’s desire to return to a Champions League-playing club following his exit from Premier League side Manchester United.

Speaking about his two-year deal with the Saudi Arabian club, the 37-year-old player said he has won everything he wanted to win in Europe, hence it was time to share his experience in Asia further.

“I am fortunate that I have won everything I set out to win in European football and feel now that this is the right moment to share my experience in Asia.

“I am looking forward to joining my new teammates and, together with them help the Club to achieve success,” Ronaldo said during a press interview moments after his signing.
