Manchester City Beat Leeds United 3-1 Away From Home

It was a night to forget in a hurry for Leeds United who welcomed Manchester City to Elland Road on Wednesday only to allow them to win 3-1.

From the start of the game to the end, Manchester City proved they wanted a win more than Leeds United as the visitors enjoyed 69 Percent of the ball possession while Leeds managed 31 percent.

City had the potential to make it a humiliating defeat for Leeds but they failed to judiciously utilize their 26 shots, 9 of which were on target. While Leeds made just 9 shots and only one was on target.

The winger completed a one-two with the striker, with Haaland’s powerful effort parried into the corner of the net by Meslier.

Leeds United players were left dejected over the performance of Manchester City on Wednesday.

In the 73rd minute, Leeds United got their consolation goal thanks to a strike from Pascal Struijk who got onto the end of a corner from Sam Greenwood and headed it toward the bottom corner. Ederson got a touch on it, but he couldn’t keep the ball out.

Afterward, the two teams failed to score again as Manchester City ran away with a convincing 3-1 victory. The win means that City are currently five points away from first-placed Arsenal.
