Nigerian rapper cum actor, Folarin Falana, popularly known as Falz, has sent a message to the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, over the death of Bolanle Raheem.

Naija News recalls that a trigger-happy policeman identified as (ASP) Drambi Vandi shot at Omobolanle on Christmas day while driving through Ajah with her family.

Omobolanle and her family were returning home after visiting an eatery on Christmas Day and had tried to make a U-turn under the Ajah Bridge when the unfortunate incident happened.

In a post shared on Twitter, Falz recalled how the Nigerian youths staged a protest in October 2022 over the issue of police brutality and extrajudicial killing.

However, two years after a panel made recommendations regarding such cases, the government is yet to implement them.

Falz noted that if the police officer involved in the death of Bolanle is not punished with his details published for the general public, Nigerians will interpret the issue as an invitation to chaos.

He tweeted: “@jidesanwoolu @PoliceNG When we refused to leave the streets in October 2020, we were referred to as recalcitrant #EndSars youth that just wanted to make trouble.

“TWO YEARS after a panel made recommendations regarding those cases, they have still not been implemented.. @jidesanwoolu @PoliceNG Another man in police uniform took the life of a pregnant Bolanle Raheem on Christmas Day.

“If this person isn’t punished & all details PUBLISHED for everyone to see, I am afraid many will interpret that as an invitation to chaos. Humble advice.”
