2023: Ekiti PDP Inaugurates Campaign Council, Charges Members To Collect Their PVCs

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) inaugurated its Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) in Ekiti State on Tuesday ahead of the 2023 general election.

The party’s South West former zonal chairman, Eddy Olafeso, who inaugurated the council charged loyalists to come out en masse during the 2023 general elections to vote for all PDP candidates.

Naija News learnt that Olafeso at the event gave a charge to members of the campaign council to close ranks and work for the victory of the party in the coming election.

During the inauguration in Ado-Ekiti, the former zonal chairman admonished members to make it a duty to collect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) in other to vote for the presidential and vice presidential candidates of the party, in order to effect the desired change.

Olafeso, who described this Christmas as the worst in the country’s history, faulted the leadership style of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and alleged that the party has plunged Nigeria into numerous problems without solutions.

He also inaugurated the state Campaign Management Committee at the same event.

Also speaking at the occasion was the Acting Chairman of the Ekiti PDP PCC, Chief Ogundipe Makanjuola, who told party members that unwavering support is needed if the PDP have to win the presidential election at the polls next year.

According to him, it is only the PDP that can revamp the battered economy of Nigeria, and therefore supporters have to go out to mobilise support for the party and all its candidates in the election.

He remarked that “We have been handed a very strategic task, a very challenging assignment, but by the special grace of God, it is not insurmountable, we shall succeed.”

Other members inaugurated as part of the council include the secretary of the PCC, Tunji Odeyemi, former governors and deputy governors, serving and former lawmakers, chairmen, secretaries, BoT members, former lawmakers and serving, state youth leader, all local government party chairmen, including the PDP zonal publicity secretary, Chief Sanya Atofarati, among others.

Members of the Ekiti PDP Management Committee inaugurated included, Duro Faseyi, North, Diplo Anisulowo, Central, and Prof. Olusola Eleka, South, while Yemisi Afolabi, is the Secretary.
