Brazil football icon, Pele, has reportedly bid farewell to his family and loved ones as his health condition continued to deteriorate.

Brazil superstar Pele appears to be progressively losing the fight against cancer in a distressing video shared by Golaut official on YouTube as he sadly bade farewell to family and friends.

The three-time world champion’s health has gotten worse because he was shown having trouble breathing in the now-viral footage.

The 82-year-old was admitted to the Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein in Sao Paulo on November 29, 2022, and recently spent Christmas Day there after having a colon tumor removed in September 2021.

The footballer’s children vowed to stay by his side as he receives care in the hospital after his cancer advanced.

In the uploaded video titled “Pele says goodbye to family and friends from the hospital bed,” the legendary figure could be seen mumbling a message.

In the same vein, a tweet by British entrepreneur and sports management Frank Khalid confirmed that Pele bid goodbye to his family and friends from his hospital bed.

Also, sources close to the footballer’s family claimed Pele, a legendary player in football, “is losing the battle against cancer slowly.”

The world is currently praying for Pele’s well-being, according to former Brazilian football player Romario, who on Monday expressed his best wishes and prayers to the three-time world champion.

The winner of the 1994 World Cup set aside his previous rivalry with Pele and joined the chorus of voices expressing concern for the well-being of the player widely regarded as the greatest soccer player of all time.

“King, get better. Much faith. Everyone is attentive and praying for you. Get better. A kiss to your heart,” Romario told SporTV.
