Before a summer move to the City Ground, the only permanent club of Jesse Lingard was Manchester United. Currently, he hopes to help an improving Nottingham Forest team defeat United.

This game cannot be like any other for the Englishman, despite the winger’s attempts to play down the importance of his return to Old Trafford tonight.

When the attacker scored his first goal for United in 2015, he said it was like “a dream come true” because he had joined the team when he was just seven years old.
