Note that Cristiano Ronaldo, 37, has scored 801 total career goals in 1,095 games in all competitions, both for club and country, While Lionel Messi, 35, the record seven times Ballon d’Or winner has scored 791 career goals in 1002 games in all competitions for both club and country.

Ahead of Manchester City Premier League game against Leeds United scheduled to kick off at 21:00 on Wednesday, December 28, De Bruyne stressed that Erling Haaland can score as many as 700 more goals in his career.

“He already has about 200 goals, so he can probably go to 600, 700, or 800 if he stays fit and does the things he does,” the Belgian said. “Erling is a top-level striker.”

Since he joined Manchester City last summer, Haaland has produced an extraordinary debut season by netting 24 times in 19 matches.

As things stand, Haaland’s fitness will play a role in City’s season, and the team’s medical staff will be closely monitoring his workload. Both the Carabao Cup triumph over Liverpool and the friendly success over Girona saw manager Pep Guardiola take him off the field early.

Once World Cup champion Julian Alvarez of Argentina returns to Manchester City in the coming days, Haaland might be made to play up front with the Argentine Forward.

Since Alvarez joined Manchester City last summer, the 22-year-old forward has scored 7 goals and provided two assists in 20 games in all competitions.
