Agboola Backs Down, Agrees To Return Official Vehicles

A former Deputy Governor of Ondo State, Agboola Ajayi has called on the people of the state to vote for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the forthcoming elections.

Ajayi who is the candidate of the Ondo South Senatorial District asked residents of the state to vote out the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The senatorial candidate who was the Deputy Governor under an APC-led government said the party does not deserve to return to power, stating he was in captivity while h was in office.

Ajayi stated this during a town hall meeting at Igbokoda, the headquarters of the Ilaje Local Government Area of the state.

The former deputy governor while addressing party members said he purposely resigned from his office when he could not put the people of Ondo South out of bondage.

He said, “I purposely resigned my office as deputy governor when I discovered that I’m in captive under the guise of family government.”

The PDP chieftain while charging the people to vote for PDP in the general election, said if he and Kolade Akinjo were elected as Senator and Federal House of Representatives members respectively, there would be a speedy economic transformation of the people in the area.

Ajayi was the deputy governor of Ondo State in the first term of Governor Rotimi Akeredolu.
