Borussia Dortmund midfielder, Jude Bellingham reportedly prefers to join Real Madrid because he does not want to return to England anytime soon for club football.

Recall that the 19-year-old Englishman, Jude Bellingham, started his professional football career in England at Birmingham before he joined German Bundesliga side, Borussia Dortmund when he was just 17 years old.

Since then, Bellingham has played 112 times for Borussia Dortmund in all competitions in which he scored 19 goals and provided 21 assists.

Due to his prolific form, his transfer market value is said to be €120 million which is over 75 percent more than the amount Dortmund paid for his services on July 23, 2020.

During the 2022 FIFA World Cup, Jude Bellingham gave an outstanding account of himself that most of the biggest clubs in Europe are after his signature.

Reports in Germany claimed that Chelsea, Manchester United, Manchester City, Real Madrid, and Liverpool are all after his signature.

A report by the Spanish famous news outlet, AS, claimed that Jude Bellingham has made up his mind to snub all the English clubs seeking his signature. His dream right now is to sign and play for Real Madrid.

In line with that, Real Madrid is said to be willing to reach an agreement with Borussia Dortmund and is also willing to pay the price tag of 120 million euros placed on the midfielder.

Since Birmingham has made it clear that he wants to join Real Madrid, the bidding war which would have taken place among the interested parties won’t stand.

If Real Madrid reaches an agreement with Dortmund and Birmingham this January, the English midfielder would have to stay at the German club until the coming summer before his departure to Madrid. His current contract with Dortmund will expire on June 30, 2025.
