The Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, has sealed off the campaign office of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.

Naija News understands that the office which is located in GRA Port Harcourt was sealed off in the early hours of Friday based on the order of the Rivers State Government.

Recall that Nyesom Wike had a few weeks ago signed Executive Order 22 which prohibits the citing of campaign offices by political parties in residential areas without government approval.

However, the Rivers State PDP presidential campaign council claimed that its media team had requested the state government authorization but has not received a response for several weeks.

The PDP PCC condemned the action of the state Government stating it rubs off on their fundamental right to free expression of interest.

The group also said: “This egregious move by the Rivers State Government, seen in the prism of politics, tends to militarise our democracy and renders our dear state politically recessive when juxtaposed with other states in the country.”

Drop Your Presidential Ambition

Meanwhile, the leader of One Love Family, Satguru Maharaj Ji has warned the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Atiku Abubakar to drop his 2023 ambition.

Satguru Maharaj Ji claimed steps and actions taken so far by the former Vice President show that Atiku is desperate but he’s not the leader Nigeria needs at the moment.

Addressing a press conference on Thursday, he argued that Atiku has by his actions so far shown that he is not a nationalist but is only aspiring to become the President of Nigeria for selfish personal reasons and to promote an ethnic agenda.

Maharaj Ji said it is obvious majority of Nigerians have agreed to the consensus that power should leave the north and go to the south, hence Atiku’s candidacy is against what Nigerians want.

The spiritual leader also referenced Atiku’s famous words during an interaction with the Arewa Joint Committee that the north doesn’t need a Yoruba or Igbo President to buttress his call for the PDP candidate to step down.
