Moment Osinbajo Arrives Tinubu’s Residence In Abuja

A video has surfaced online which captured the moment Vice President Yemi Osinbajo arrived at the Abuja residence of the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu.

Naija News reports that Osinbajo visited Tinubu and his running mate, Kashim Shettima, on Wednesday, after being away from the APC’s campaign activities.

Recall that the Presidency had said that both Osinbajo and the Secretary to the Government, Boss Mustapha, should not participate in campaign activities so they could focus on governance.

According to the Presidency, the Vice President was acting on President Muhammadu Buhari‘s directive to stay away from the party’s campaigns.

However, in the viral video, the APC flagbearer could be seen welcoming his former prodigy to his residence after weeks of not seeing each other.

Both Osinbajo and Tinubu also exchanged pleasantries in the spirit of the Christmas season with Shettima sitting next to both leaders.

In a tweet via his Twitter handle, Osinbajo’s media aide, Laolu Akande said his principal’s visit to Tinubu was a friendly one and not a political meeting.

He wrote: “Vice President Yemi Osinbajo stopped by for a friendly visit at the Abuja residence of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu just now.

“At the meeting, VP and Asiwaju exchanged pleasantries in the spirit of the season. And in response to media inquiries whether this was a political meeting, it was not.”
