There was drama on Thursday, December 22, as supporters in a campaign rally of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Yobe State, endorsed the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar.

This is the second time that such an event would happen in a week, as supporters of the party on Monday shouted in support of Atiku during a campaign of APC in Katsina State.

The APC chieftain, who was addressing the crowd in the Hausa language, spoke English at some point when he shouted Nigerians and the crowd shouted ‘sai Atiku’.

A video shared by the former lawmaker representing Kogi West senatorial district, Dino Melaye on Thursday showed the moment the crowd were shouting the names of Atiku and other PDP candidates in the state.

In the video shared on Twitter by the spokesman of the PDP’s presidential campaign council, the crowd also shouted the name of the PDP governorship candidate in the state, Alhaji Sharif Abdu.

However, some people on the stage during the campaign shouted APC.

Melaye in reaction to the development claimed that the northern part of the country had been blocked for Atiku ahead of the 2023 presidential election.
