2023 Election: List Of State Governors Tribunal May Sack

A ruling by the Federal High Court in Abuja on Thursday (today) affirmed the expulsion of Kenneth Udeze from the Action Alliance (AA).

The presiding judge, Justice Zainab Abubakar, also struck out a suit brought before the court by Udeze to stop the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) from releasing the code to upload the party’s candidates for the 2023 election, saying that the case lacks merit.

According to the judge: “The court viewed that Kenneth is not a member of Action Alliance, hence his lack of statutes to institute any matter at all on behalf of the party.”

The party’s National Think Thank committee, which is the highest ruling organ of the party had since 2019 suspended and subsequently expelled Kenneth Udeze from the party.

Similarly, an Abuja Court of Appeal, in a judgment dated 11th November 2022, affirmed the expulsion and suspension of Barrister Kenneth Udeze from the party, Action Alliance.

Naija News understands that Udeze had chaired a faction of the party differently from the National Chairman of AA, Dr Adekunle Rufai Omo-Aje, who described the latest court verdict as a welcome development and called on INEC to immediately release the code and pin to the party to upload its candidates to INEC.
