P Square Backs Out Of Peter Obi’s Akwa Ibom Rally, Campaign Team Gives Reason

Twin singing sensation, Peter and Paul Okoye (Psquare), who were reportedly set to perform at the Akwa Ibom campaign rally with the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP),Peter Obi have backed out and will no longer show up for the event.

Naija News reports that the duo was to thrill supporters alongside the former Anambra governor, who is scheduled for a rally in the South-South state today.

Taking to her Twitter handle, social activist and member of the LP campaign team, Aisha Yesufu noted that the singers were unable to join the rally, following ‘unforeseen circumstances.’

She wrote: “Due to some unforseen circumstances PSquare will not be able to join the Peter Obi rally in Uyo. My apologies . @rudeboypsquare and ⁦@PeterPsquare will be joining us in the coming days.”

Court Dissolves Paul Okoye’s Marriage To Anita

Meanwhile, the marriage of popular Nigerian singer, Paul Okoye to Anita has been dissolved by an Abuja High court sitting in Maitama.

Anita while giving reasons for requesting a divorce from the singer on Monday pointed to cheating, separation, being an absent father, fraud, and difficult experiences.

The estranged wife of the popular singer requested a monthly settlement of $20,000 and a number of her husband’s mansions.

Anita in her divorce petition earlier signed by her lawyer, Ojonimi Akpe and Okutepa J.S at an Abuja High Court claimed that she contributed N10 million as an agreement with her husband that she would be granted space at the mall he had just completed in Lekki Phase 1, Lagos.

She, however, accused Paul Okoye of cheating her out of a deal.
