Award-winning Nigerian singer, Davido has appreciated his fans after his historic performance at World Cup, Qatar.

Recall, Davido shared his first set of photos on social media ahead of his performance at the closing ceremony of the world cup on Sunday.

The father of three shared photos of himself, his lover, Chioma Rowlannd and members of his crew with the caption,  the images, ”worldcupqatar2022.”

Taking to his Instagram page to share several more photos of his historic performance at the closing ceremony of the world cup, Davido wished his fans a merry Christmas and a new year, and also appreciated them for the love and support.

“Merry Christmas & Happy New Year. Thank you all I love you,” he wrote on his Instagram on Monday evening.

Davido and Chioma lost their son, Ifeanyi, in October and have been off social media since the tragic incident. 

Actress Knocks Tweep Trolling Davido

Nollywood actress, Jemima Osunde, has slammed a troll, who faulted Nigerian singer, Davido, over his performance at the 2022 FIFA World Cup final in Qatar.

Naija News earlier reported that Davido, barely two months after the death of his son, Ifeanyi Adeleke, returned to Instagram and performed at the closing ceremony of the World Cup on Sunday, December 18, 2022.

However, a troll who felt disappointed with Davido’s appearance in Qatar questioned how the singer was quick to forget his son’s death.

The tweet read: “Did Davido forget about his son so fast?” Displeased by the tweet, Jemima Osunde wrote: “You’re an idiot.”
