Wike, Uzodinma, Mbah... - IPOB Releases List Of Top Politicians, Others Allegedly Working Against Release Of Nnamdi Kanu

Emmanuel Kanu, the younger brother to the Indigenous People of Biafran (IPOB) leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, has alleged that police personnel stormed the entrance gate to his father’s palace and started shooting.

Emmanuel stated that the Nigerian police would be held responsible if any harm should come to members of his family.

According to Vanguard, sporadic shooting was reportedly heard around the Isiama Afaraukwu Umuahia county home of Kanu on Saturday evening.

An eyewitness who simply identified himself as Michael told the aforementioned publication that the police personnel who drove in a Hilux, came from the gate of the Commissioner of Police in the neighbourhood.

Michael said when the security personnel were accosted they refused to offer a reason for their actions.

The eye witness said that the shooting created panic around the vicinity as people fled their homes.

He said that they were now living in fears over the intimidation by security agencies.

When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO in charge of Abia State, Geoffrey Ogbonna, said he was not aware of the incident.

The reason for the shooting as at the time this report was filed has not yet being ascertained.
