Olubadan To Honour Atiku With Aree Akogun Of Ibadan Land

The Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Olalekan Balogun is set to honour the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar with ‘Aree Akogun Of Ibadan Land.’

Naija News confirmed the decision to honour Atiku with a chieftaincy title in a letter released by the monarch.

The chieftaincy title, ‘Aree Akogun of Ibadan Land’ simply means ‘The President Of The Brave Ones Of Ibadanland”.

The letter reads, “I am happy to bring you special greetings from the Royal Palace of Ibadanland.

“It is my pleasure to inform you that the authority of the Exalted Throne has chosen to Confer on you a Chieftaincy Title.

“The chosen Chieftaincy Title is AARE AKOGUN OF IBADALAND meaning THE PRESIDENT OF THE BRAVE ONES OF IBADANLAND.

“I am proud to have shared a premium friendship with you because you have always been a wonderful person in the lives of those around you, including your immense contributions to the development and progress of Ibadanland.

“I understand that your last visit to Oyo State was impromptu and due to some challenges based on schedule, you couldn’t visit the Royal Palace.

“This time I am inviting you on my capacity and I propose you pick a convenient date, maybe before Christmas, so the Conferment Ceremony can take place.

“I just returned from the UK on Medical Trip and this ceremony is one of the activities I will love to see happen.

“I also use this medium to express my profound appreciation and your presence when I was officially coronated as the Olubadan of Ibadanland.

“I pray that God continues to guide you in Good Health and Wisdom in all your endeavours. Best Regards.”
