The President of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Most Rev. Daniel Okoh, has said that the 2023 general elections will not break up Nigeria.

The clergyman, while speaking during a Christian concert in Asaba, Delta State, assured Nigerians that God has chosen those who will lead the country.

He said that God would not allow the country to disintegrate.

Speaking further, Okoh begged Nigerians to support leaders that would turn country’s fortunes around, adding that God would not abandon the country to its fate.

According to Okoh: “The coming election will not break Nigeria. As a matter of fact, 2023 is the year of golden opportunity for Nigeria.

“God has already chosen those who will lead the people come 2023 and since God is interested in the government and the economy of men, then the people should be involved because God will use people to turn things around for the country.”

The CAN President also allayed fear among Nigerians, stressing that God was interested in the government of the country.

Reno Omokri Slams Buhari Over Congratulatory Message To Morocco

Former Presidential aide, Reno Omokri has slammed President Muhammadu Buhari over his congratulatory message to Morocco at the FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Naija News reports that Buhari, in a message to the King of Morocco, Mohammed VI, had congratulated the Moroccan football team, the Atlas Lions, for reaching the Semi-finals at the tournament.

Buhari, through his media aide, Garba Shehu, on Monday, in Abuja, commended Morocco for becoming the fourth African country to ever qualify for the World Cup quarterfinals.

But in a tweet via his Twitter handle on Wednesday, Omokri said the Morocco team might lose the match against France due to the message from the Nigerian President.

He said President Buhari had no business congratulating Morocco, expressing hope that the Nigerian leader hasn’t infected the team with a “negative spirit.”

He wrote, “I feel for Morocco. There is something called a negative human spirit. Often, those who harbour it are not conscious of it. Buhari had no business congratulating Morocco. I really pray that he hasn’t infected them with his NHS. Buhari has the Midas Touch in reverse!”
