English Premier League club, Manchester United, is reportedly making moves to sign Karim Benzema from Real Madrid.

Reports obtained by Naija News on Wednesday (today) claimed that the Red Devils are ready to release a mouthwatering contract offer to bring the French professional footballer to Old Trafford.

The Erik Ten Hag’s side will, however, have to battle for the 34-year-old striker with Paris Saint-Germain, who are also said to be interested in signing the player.

Benzema only has six months left of his current contract with Spanish La Liga giants after winning the coveted Ballon d’Or in October.

The French man who will soon become a free agent has netted 329 goals in 617 games across 13 seasons with the Spanish giants.

Unfortunately, Benzema was ruled out of participation in the ongoing 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar due to injury.

However, United are looking to replace his former teammate, Cristiano Ronaldo, following his premature departure from the club.

Naija News reports that United and Ronaldo ended their contract terms last month in the aftermath of his explosive interview with Piers Morgan in which he seriously criticised the club and its manager, Erik ten Hag.

Messi: Argentina Awaits Either Of France, Morocco In World Cup Final Battle

Tonight’s 2022 World Cup Semi-final match between France and Morocco would be a determinant of who Argentina would face in the final battle in Qatar.

Naija News reports that Paris Saint Germain forward, Lionel Messi led Argentina to a ruthless victory against Croatia on Tuesday night.

The semi-final match between Argentina and Croatia at Lusail Stadium ended in a thrilling 3-0 win in favour of Messi’s side.

Messi set up Argentina for a lead after winning a penalty kick in the 34th minute of the first half last night. The goal became Messi’s fifth goal of the tournament in Qatar.

Again the South American side made life difficult for Croatia on the pitch after Julian Alvarez netted in each half to make the game safe for Argentina.

Naija News reports that the match between Argentina and Croatia which eventually ended 3-0 in favour of Messi’s side was one of the most intriguing matches played in the world football tournament in Qatar.

As a result of yesterday’s victory, Messi now hopes to reunite with his PSG teammate, Kylian Mbappe should France walk past Morocco today. If otherwise, Africans would be proud to see Morocco make history in Qatar by reaching the final. The semi-final match between France and Morocco is scheduled for 8:00 PM today.
