Moment Tinubu Was Turbaned As Dakaren Birnin Gwari (Video)

A video has emerged showing the moment the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, bagged a chieftaincy title in Birnin Gwari community in Birni Gwari Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

Naija News reports that Tinubu was on Monday turbaned as Dakaren Birnin Gwari (the Dakaren title means the Fearless Warrior) by the Emir of Birnin-Gwari, HRH Zubair Jibril Megwari II, at his palace.

Also, the Kaduna Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, was conferred the traditional title of Sadaukin Birnin Gwari.

The former Governor of Lagos State had visited the town to commiserate with the victims of bandits’ attacks which took place last week.

At the monarch’s palace, Tinubu donated 50 million naira to cushion the effect of bandits’ attacks on residents of the community.

Tinubu assured the people of Birnin Gwari that he will tackle the problems of insecurity, road infrastructure decay, agriculture, education, and other challenges in the area if elected President in 2023.

He also appealed to them to vote for APC in the state in order for his administration to be able to fulfill the promise of bringing development to Nigeria.

In his remark, the monarch appreciated Tinubu for his donation and for being the first presidential candidate to visit the community.

Tinubu was accompanied by his running mate, Senator Kashim Shettima; the Director General of APC Presidential Campaign Council and Governor of Plateau State, Simon Lalong; Governors Abdullahi Ganduje (Kano), Atiku Bagudu (Kennie), and Abubakar Badaru (Jigawa).

The APC flagbearer was also accompanied by the host governor, Nasir El-Rufai; the state’s APC governorship candidate, Senator Uba Sani, and other top government functionaries.

Meanwhile, Tinubu and former Super Eagles player and manager, Daniel Amokachi, met in Kaduna State on Monday.

Naija News reports that Tinubu arrived in Kaduna earlier ahead of APC’s mega rally scheduled for Tuesday in the State.

The Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai first received the presidential hopeful at the Dana Air wing of the Nigerian Airbase in the state before meeting other dignitaries.

On Tinubu’s entourage were his running mate, Sen. Kashim Shettima, and other top party leaders led by the director-general of the campaign and Governor of Plateau State, Simon Lalong.

Naija News understands that Amokachi has not hidden his support for the former Governor of Lagos who is hoping to become the next president of Nigeria after President Muhammadu Buhari.
