Nigerian singer, Ayodeji Balogun popularly known as Wizkid, has come under heavy criticism after failing to show up at his concert held in Ghana.

Naija News reports that show promoters held a Wizkid live concert in Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday night, December 11, 2022 for fans of the singer.

However, the singer did not show up for the event, which left his fans and music lovers dismayed.

Reacting to the singer’s absence, many of his fans took to their social media to call out the singer whilst expressing displeasure over how the event panned out.

One multi-media journalist, Nneka slammed the singer, saying: “Wizkid is not attending his concert in Ghana. Now, let’s see how this plays out in the morning. People leaving at 04:03am after 12 hours waiting for @wiakidayo. I feels so bad. I feel sad its happening in another country. Happening in Ghana. A country you reside in. This is the peak of ones Hubris.”

DessyFayden wrote: ”This certainly will go down as the worst ever music concert to be held in this country.. hey squad bore oo.. Big Wiz no show up, the whole thing scatter.. mic, sound, light. Instead of Wizkid, we had Dj Tunez and Pocolee.”

OleleSalvador wrote: ”Wizkid’s set is originally set for 2-hours non-stop. Its 2:30 and he’s still yet to mount the stage. This means if he does mount the stage anyime between now and 3am, the show may end at 5am. The DJ is currently on rotation for close to 30mins. No Mc. No performance.”

Simply hephie called the promoters to refund the money taken from fans; ‘‘The organizers need to refund our monies because what is this? Herrghhhhhh.”

TV3 shared a clip of music lovers leaving the event, ”2:40am Patrons leaving the Accra Sports Staduim after waiting hours for Wizkid to perform.”
