Bandits Abduct Nigerian Lawmaker’s Wife And Four Children

The wife and four children of a member of the Zamfara State House of Assembly, Aminu Ardo Jangebe, have been abducted by bandits.

This publication gathered that the incident happened at 11 pm on Thursday, December 8, 2022, as the gunmen stormed the community and began shooting sporadically to scare people away.

A resident of the community, Sani Abubakar, in an interview with PUNCH disclosed that two neighbours of the lawmaker, Alhaji Yahaya, and Sa,adu Mainama were also abducted by the terrorists.

Abubakar explained that many people took to their heels on hearing the gunshots, while others shut their doors to avoid abduction.

He said the bandits went straight to Aminu Ardo’s residence and broke the gate to gain entry, adding they also took away a motorcycle belonging to one of the abducted persons.

He said: “Immediately the bandits entered into the house, they abducted the wife of the Honourable member and his four children.

“As they were coming out of the house, they spotted two of his neighbours, MalamYahaya and Sa,adu Mainama who they also abducted”

While the Zamfara state Commissioner for Information, Alhaji Ibrahim Dosara, confirmed the incident to BBC Hausa, the Police Command Spokesperson, Mohammed Shehu, promised to get more details of the attack.
