A prominent Ondo traditional ruler, the Oloso of Oso Ajowa, Oba Clement Omoola Jimoh, has regained freedom.

Naija News reported that the traditional ruler was abducted last week Thursday during an invasion of his palace in Akoko North West Local Government Area of Ondo State by unknown gunmen.

It was learned that the revered monarch was forcefully abducted and kept in an unknown location for seven days.

According to reports, the abductors had demanded 100 million naira as ransom and later reduced it to 10 million naira.

However, according to a family source, the monarch was released on Wednesday after being kept in the kidnappers’ den for seven days.

The source added that the traditional ruler is presently undergoing medical observation in an undisclosed hospital.

In a chat with Channels Television, the Spokesperson of Ondo State Police Command, SP Funmilayo Odunlami, confirmed the release of the monarch.

Popular Nigerian Pastor Dies

A renowned Abuja-based Pastor, Rev. Dr. Daniel Otoh, has reportedly died.

The Senior Pastor of the Shepherd’s House Assembly was confirmed dead in a statement signed on behalf of the worship centre by Pastor Jackie Talena.

It was noted that the cleric passed out on Sunday, December 4, 2022. Otoh’s demise was, however, made public hours after the tragic incident.

The church said details of his funeral would be made public once the details are finalised. Naija News understands that Pastor Otoh was also a medical consultant.
