2023: Deji AdAeyanju Accuses Peter Obi Of Raising Funds From Diaspora

Deji Adeyanju has mocked the Labour Party presidential rally of Peter Obi that was held in Taraba State on Wednesday.

According to him, Obi’s Taraba rally looked like a secondary school inter-house sports competition.

Naija News gathered that Adeyanju took to his verified Facebook page on Thursday to ridicule Obi’s attempt to woo voters in the north.

The activist, who slammed Obi over his Taraba rally which the Labour Party described as successful, said Nigerians joke too much.

He wrote: “The Obi rally in Taraba yesterday looked like an Inter-House sports competition in a secondary school. We joke too much in this country.”

Meanwhile, Naija News understands that what seems to be like a joke to Adeyanju is what supporters of Obi, who are popularly known as ‘Obidients’ and the party, described as a successful event.

The Labour Party in a post via its verified Twitter handle on Wednesday appreciated the people of Taraba State for their massive support.

The party said the campaign rally it held in Taraba witnessed a massive turnout without people being paid for it.

The party wrote “For those in doubt, Obidients are all over Nigeria, including the North. How else can one describe organic support?

“This was not organised by political party bigwigs. It was not an enforced assemblage of people paid to attend.

“Thank you, Taraba State, for such massive support today.”
