President Buhari Jets Out To Guinea-Bissau
The President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari today (Wednesday) will be travelling to Bissau, Guinea Bissau.
Naija News gathered that President Buhari will be decorated with Guinea Bissau’s highest honour.
The award is in recognition of Buhari’s contributions to the political stability of the West African nation.
The Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to the President, Garba Shehu stated this in a statement released on Tuesday.
Following the invitation of Guinea Bissau President, Umaro Sissolo Embalo, the Nigerian leader would be commissioning a road named after him in the capital city.
During the event which would be held at the presidential villa, the leadership role of President Buhari on the West Coast will be highlighted.
Some of the roles include regularly counselling and motivating leaders on virtues of peace, political inclusiveness, and integrity and stimulating a strong economy that drives collective prosperity.
President Buhari and the Nigerian delegation during the visit to Bissau will participate in a bilateral meeting.
The Nigerian leader will be accompanied on the trip by the Minister of State, Foreign Affairs, Amb. Zubairu Dada, National Security Adviser, Maj. Gen. Mohammed B. Monguno (Rtd) and Director General of National Intelligence Agency, Amb Ahmed Rufai Abubakar.
