Shehu Sani Reacts As Tinubu Meets UAE Leadership Over Visa Ban, Others

Former Kaduna Central lawmaker, Shehu Sani has reacted to the statement of Kano lawmaker, Alhassan Ado-Doguwa to deal with those who don’t vote for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the forthcoming election.

Taking to his Twitter account on Tuesday, the former lawmaker said the threat by Ado-Doguwa who is the Majority Leader of the House of Representatives is a serious threat to the 2023 elections.

Naija News earlier reported that Doguwa was caught on camera threatening to deal with those who won’t vote for the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The APC lawmaker representing Doguwa/Tudun Wada Federal Constituency of Kano State made the declaration during a campaign rally.

Speaking to his supporters in Hausa language, the lawmaker said: “On election day, it is either you vote for APC or we deal with you mercilessly.”

Reacting to the viral video, Sani told the lawmaker to withdraw the statement.

He wrote: “The threat to deal with anyone who refuses to vote for the ruling APC in Kano is unfortunate and a serious threat to peaceful elections. I advice the ranking Honorable member involved, who is still a lawmaker for over two decades to withdraw this statement.”
