2023 Presidency: Asiwaju Not Immune To Mistakes - Tinubu's Ally

The Presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, is not immune to mistakes.

A member of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, Dele Alake, stated this on Monday in an interview on Politics Today, a programme on Channels Television.

The former Lagos State Commissioner of Information said Tinubu is human like every other person who is prone to make mistakes.

Alake, therefore, said the gaffes committed by the APC Presidential candidate do not translate to his capacity to lead the country.

No human being is immune to gaffes. That does not translate to one’s capacity to rule,” he said.

The APC chieftain also accused Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP) and Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) of committing gaffes.

He said: “Just a few days ago, Datti Ahmed, the Vice-Presidential candidate of the Labour Party committed a great gaffe.

“Atiku committed a gaffe in Kaduna when he said they should vote for him because he is a northerner…If it was Tinubu that made that, all heavens would have come down.

“In fact, Obi is noted for false statistics, anybody knows that…So, there is really nothing to clear about that. Asiwaju is a human being like every other person.

Speaking on why Tinubu delegated some members of his team to respond to questions posed by participants at Chatham House, Alake said the former Lagos governor wanted to showcase his team.

The former Commissioner added that the APC flagbearer believes that governance is not a one-man show.
