PDP Reacts To Tribunal Ruling On Bauchi, Enugu Governorship Elections

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is in mourning as the party’s secretary in Bauchi State, Sani Muhammad Chinade is reportedly dead.

Reports reaching Naija News on Monday morning said the PDP chieftain passed away during the weekend after battling a protracted illness.

Chinade’s demise was confirmed to newsmen by the Publicity Secretary of the party, Yayanuwa Zainabari.

Zainabari told Tribune that the politician died last Saturday night.

Bauchi State Governor, Sen Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir was said to have led some chieftains of the PDP and top government officials to the family house of the deceased to express their condolences.

Chinade hails from the Katagum Local Government Area of Bauchi State.

Expressing his regret on Chinade’s death, Governor Mohammed described the incident as a significant loss to the PDP in Bauchi state and the country at large, saying that the deceased contributed to the development of the state in his capacity as a retired civil servant before becoming the Secretary of the PDP.

The Governor added that as Secretary of the PDP in the past six years, the late Chinade contributed to the party’s success in the 2019 election.

While praying for the repose of his soul, he urged the family to accept it as an act of Allah, as every mortal must taste death.

On his part, the State Chairman of the PDP, Alh. Hamza Koshe Akuyam said Chinade had a smooth working relationship with him while he was alive.

He stressed that there was never a time they had a strained relationship. He prayed for the repose of his soul saying that the PDP will miss his contribution, particularly at a crucial stage of the 2023 General elections.

While speaking on behalf of the bereaved family, Alh. Sa’adu Bawa thanked the delegation led by the Governor for identifying with them at the moment of grief.

He requested that the family should be well looked after now that the breadwinner is gone because according to him, the late Sani Chinade left behind 2 wives and 17 children.

Naija News learnt that the deceased was laid to rest on Sunday in his village, in accordance with Islamic injunction.
