Atiku Has Tried His Best

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential Campaign Committee (PCC) said on Saturday that the party’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has tried his utmost best to reconcile with the G-5 governors but to no avail.

The G5 governors include Nyesom Wike (Rivers), Samuel Ortom (Benue), Okezie Ikpeazu (Abia), Seyi Makinde (Oyo) and Ifeanyi Igwuanyi (Enugu).

The party chieftains have become aggrieved since the conduct of PDP’s presidential primaries months ago. Their feud with the party leadership heightened after their call for the removal of PDP National Chairman, Iyorchia Ayu, fell on deaf ears.

With less than 90 days to the 2023 general elections, the party’s PCC said Atiku despite his previous efforts proofing futile, is still ready to engage the five aggrieved governors.

The Deputy National Youth Leader of the party, Timothy Osadolor, disclosed this to newsmen during the weekend stating that Atiku never ran away from an opportunity to address the issues.
