The Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has inaugurated four committees, the Staff Audit/Appointments/Promotion Review Committee chaired by Dr Muyiwa Oladimeji to look into appointments made after July 17, as well as track all looted public assets belonging to the state.

Naija News reports that the other committees include State Assets Inventory and Recovery Committee, chaired by B. T. Salem, Contracts/MoU/Agreements Review Committee, chaired by Mr Niyi Owolade, and Chieftaincy Affairs Review Committee.

The new development is contained in a statement issued by the governor’s spokesperson, Malam Olawale Rasheed, on Wednesday.

Adeleke, who was represented by his Deputy,  Kola Adewusi, at the inauguration of the committees in Osogbo, the state capital, said the widespread ”pillaging” of government assets, hence the panels should look into the matter.

He also gave them a charge to review all appointments made after July 17 by the last administration.

”We assure the people that we will not back down on our resolve to stop all post-July 17 illegalities,

”Those with issues to explain are those who entered the payroll after July 17,” he submitted.

The governor gave assurance that the state payroll pre-July 17 remains intact, while noting that the state government had not sacked any worker on the Osun payroll.
