The Special Assistant to the Cross River State Governor, Ben Ayade, on Strategic Communication, Andrea Ekeng Inyang has recounted an incident that occurred four years ago while he was returning from a church service with his wife.

Speaking via a post on Facebook, Inyang recalled how they were attacked by armed robbers.

He said that three men jumped out of a Toyota Corolla and fired shots sporadically into the air.

The aide explained that he forgot he was with his wife and ran for cover without thinking about her.

Inyang, however stated that when the robbers left he was embarrassed and found it hard to face his wife.

He wrote, “4 years ago, my wife and I were returning from church in the evening around Atamunum,”
