2023: Wives Of Tinubu, Shettima To Flag Off Campaign In Katsina Today


The wives of the presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), and his running mate, Oluremi Tinubu and Hajiya Nana Shettima are set to flag off the North West zonal campaign for the women’s wing of the APC Presidential Campaign in Kastina State capital on Tuesday.

Naija News gathered that the information was contained in a statement issued by the Kebbi State Director General Women’s Campaign Team, Zarau Wali.

According to her, other wives of Governors and wives of the party’s governorship candidates for the States in the region will be at hand to flag off the campaign.

Wali explained that the Northwest zone is an APC stronghold and women of the zone have on many occasions demonstrated the will to work for the victory of the party at the 2023 polls.

She noted that “The Tinubu/Shettima Women Presidential campaign team moves its train to the North West of Nigeria to Flag Off the zonal campaign in the ancient city of Katsina.

“Traditionally a stronghold of the All Progressives Congress, the Northwest zone comprises Kano, Katsina, Jigawa, Sokoto, Zamfara and Kebbi states.

“The women of the zone have on many occasions demonstrated the will to work for the success of the party from the Presidential candidate to the state assembly candidates in the forthcoming 2023 general elections.

“The rally which is to be hosted by the NorthWest APC Women Campaign Organization under the leadership of the Zonal Coordinator and wife of Kebbi state Governor, H.E Dr Zainab Shinkafi Bagudu, is set to take place in Katsina, the capital of Katsina State on the 30th of November 2022 at the People’s Square at 10 am Prompt.

“It is expected that the wives of both the Presidential and Vice Presidential candidates, HE Senator Oluremi Tinubu and HE Haj Nana Shettima will perform the flag-off with support from all the spouses of current Governors as well as candidates from the zone.

“Other expected attendees will include, wives of National Assembly Members, wives of state assembly members, wives of Chairmen, women leaders, and women councillors among others.”
