Breaking: Oyo State Govt Demolishes Yoruba Nation Building After Attack

The Oyo State chapter of All Progressives Congress (APC) has yet again attacked the State Governor, Seyi Makinde, over the state of the education sector in the state.

According to the main opposition in Oyo state, the education sector in the state is in sorry state.

Naija News reports that the Oyo APC alleged that the sector became worst under the watch of Makinde as governor of the state.

In a statement signed by the Oyo APC Publicity Secretary, Olawale Sadare, the party bemoaned how schools in the state have now become “haven of examination malpractice.”

The party alleged that under Makinde’s watch, most of the schools in the state have no facilities, noting that the majority of schools in the state have no critical infrastructure.

Naija News gathered that the APC’s reaction follows a recent delisting of about 50 schools by the West African Examination Council (WAEC) in the state.

WAEC, was reported to have delisted the affected schools in the state based on the allegation of examination malpractices.

On that note, the Oyo APC described the incidence as “unacceptable and worrisome,” saying it was a manifestation that the government in power is not serious about education.

The party also noted that the delisting of those schools was a clear manifestation of wrath in the system.

The APC in Oyo submitted that “The Makinde administration would do well by saving the public the ubiquitous noise of prompt payment of monthly salary to school teachers when critical infrastructure, personnel training and retraining, effective control and supervision as well as funding are lacking.

“We have also observed that suitable persons are not allowed to run the affairs of the education ministry in the state while the consultant imposed on tertiary institutions does more harm to the system.

“Most public schools are with security and hemp-smoking miscreants make incursion at will while teachers and students are exposed to danger unnecessarily.”
