Live Updates: Supreme Court Begins Hearing Atiku, Peter Obi’s Appeal against Tinubu's Victory

The presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC) Omoyele Sowore says he should be allowed to go head-to-head in a debate with other candidates contesting the 2023 presidency in Nigeria.

Sowore while daring the candidates to come out with their ideas for a debate, specifically challenged the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, All Progressives Congress (APC) flagbearer, Bola Tinubu, and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Atiku Abubakar.

Naija News understands the AAC candidate threw the challenge during an interview appearance on Wednesday with Channels Television Politics Today.

However, he said he was sure the candidates he challenged won’t show up because they’ll be afraid to debate him publicly due to a lack of ideas.

Later, he said he was sure Tinubu and Atiku specifically won’t turn up for the debate.

He said: “Bring me and Obi to discuss our ideas on your show, I guarantee that he would not come.

“I know the other two people will not show up – Tinubu and Atiku dare not show up. They should be afraid because anybody who has got no idea should be afraid.”

Inferiority Complex

The presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), Omoyele Sowore has described the current crop of leaders in the country as people with inferiority complex.

He lamented that leaders of the country are afraid and unable to stand up to the Western world when they bring up unacceptable policies or make unnecessary demands.

Sowore while speaking in an interview with The ICIR added that international organizations such as the International Monetary Fund (IMF) find it easy to make policy dictations to the Nigerian President.

He added that multi-national organizations also operate in Nigeria with a lot of impunity because they feel they are above the law.
