Lobi Stars Laughably Denies Ronaldo Transfer speculations

Nigeria Professional Football League club, Lobi Stars, has ruled out having interest in signing Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Nigerian football team has hilariously made it plain that they haven’t been in touch with Ronaldo’s agents about a transfer.

Ronaldo’s contract with Manchester United was recently terminated, thus leaving the Portugal talisman as a free agent.

The Five-time Ballon d’Or winner will, however, need to find a new team in the January transfer window.

Naija News recalls that the former Juventus forward paid the price for his contentious interview with Piers Morgan, in which he slammed Manchester United Club owners, and also his manager for disrespecting him.

One of the most important things Ronaldo mentioned was the way Erik Tag has handled the club, noting that he (Ronaldo) has no regard for the Dutch coach.

The Makurdi-based team, Lobi Stars said on their official Twitter page that they are not prepared to make any more comments on Ronaldo.

Ronaldo’s Lobi Stars comment is as follows: “Please be informed that we at Lobi are yet to make any contact with representatives of Cristiano Ronaldo following his release from Man United.”

Similar to everyone’s wishes for the all-time highest goalscorer in men’s football, the Benue state football club wished him well.

”We wish him the best & Lobi Stars will make no further comment on this.” the statement reads.

The statements, however, cracked up Nigerian sports fans as they rushed to the comment section with their reactions.

A fan wrote, “Your entire team (main squad, backroom staff, coaches etc) and your State government cannot pay CR7 weekly wages. In fact, it should be the other way round I.e. CR7 to buy the entire Benue state with all the football clubs in it.”

Another jokingly reacted “Small Yansh dey shake”

A fan suggests the club’s Twitter handler be given a pay rise “Give the Admin a pay rise” he wrote.

“All these CR7 fans no even know joke for this comment section 😂😂😂” a fan replied in Pidgin-English, “You guys are just too serious” he added.

One said “He can come & enjoy the beauty of our capital city, Makurdi”

Transfer rumours have revealed that the Portuguese number seven is heavily linked to clubs like Newcastle, and Real Madrid.
