Broadcast Journalist, Piers Morgan, has referred to The Glazers reported plan to sell Manchester United as “Incredible.”

Naija News recalls that the Glazers family is exploring options to sell the Premier League club following the long years of “Glazers Out” protest by the club.

In 2005, the Americans paid the Old Trafford team £790 million, or $1.34 billion.

The Veteran Journalist, via his tweet, linked the decision to the Cristiano Ronaldo interview about the club and his manager.

Recall that the Portuguese forward revealed that the club has never changed from the way he left it in 2009, blasting their training facilities.

In a tweet on Tuesday night, Morgan stated that the Glazers family made the choice in response to Cristiano Ronaldo’s recent incendiary interview, in which the Portugal captain attacked the owners of the Red Devils among others.

“Ronaldo’s interview has forced the Glazers to sell up. Incredible.”

The board would examine all strategic possibilities, including additional investment into the club, a sale, or other transactions involving the firm, according to a statement from the club.

Many others, however, believe that the Glazers’ audacious effort to sell the club would open up more alternatives and improve the team’s prospects of winning titles in the future.
