Chelsea Defender, Kalidou Koulibaly, has said that he would return to Napoli to rejoice if the Italian club wins the title.

Naija News recalls that the Senegalese defender made a switch to London in the last summer window for a fee in the region of £33m.

A four-year deal worth about £160,000 per week (£8.2 million a year) net plus incentives was agreed upon by the Senegalese central defender, who has 62 caps for his country.

Koulibaly who spent 8 seasons with the Serie giant netted 13 goals in 233 starts for the club which has undoubtedly cemented his love for the Italian club.

Speaking in an Interview with TribalFootball, the former Metz player said, “If Napoli wins, I’ll go back there to celebrate.”

The defender addressed Senegal’s opening-round World Cup loss against Holland.

He said: “We played a good game, only a goal was missing.

“We know this is the World Cup, a competition decided by details. If you concede, it’s hard to recover. Now we must focus on the next game. We know we have two finals ahead.”

The West African country will be looking forward to bouncing back from their defeat against the Netherlands when they take on the World Cup host, Qatar, on Friday, November 25, 2022.
