Nigerian Police Mourn As Two Female Officers Perish In Car Crash

The Nigerian police have announced the death of two of its female officers who were on their way to Akwa Ibom for the 13th Biennial Police Games Uyo 2022.

According to the Akwa Ibom Police Command spokesperson, Muazu Abubakar via the microblogging platform, Twitter, on Tuesday,  the officers PC Godiya and PC Kubra were on their way to the state when the bus they were boarded was involved in a fatal accident along Jos axis.

Muazu added that 15 other persons also sustained injuries in the accident.

”Our personnel from Borno Police Command were involved in a fatal motor vehicle Accident along Jos axis on their way to A/Ibom for the upcoming 13 Biennial Police Games UYO 2022 leaving 15 personnel with various degrees of injury while Pc Godiya and Pc Kubra paid a supreme price.” Muazu tweeted

Truck crushes Two Policemen To Death

Meanwhile, the Ekiti State Command of the Nigeria Police Force has apprehended a truck driver for allegedly crushing two of its officers to death.

Naija News learnt that the tragic incident happened on Monday, November 14, 2022, in the Adebayo area of Ado Ekiti.

The spokesperson for the command, Sunday Abutu, who confirmed the incident to newsmen, said the unfortunate event happened yesterday morning.

According to Abutu, the officers came from Iworoko Ekiti to their duty post in Ado Ekiti when the truck rammed into them.
