The Publicity Secretary to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos State, Hon. Hakeem Amode has shed more light on the supposed rift between the party’s chieftain, Bode George and the Lagos gubernatorial candidate, Olajide Adediran, better known as Jandor.

Naija News recalls George earlier stated that Jandor flouted an agreement when he made Nollywood actress turned politician, Funke Akindele his running mate.

The PDP stalwart insisted that there was an understanding to make Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, Jandor’s running mate.

Speaking more on the situation In an interview with Daily Independent, the publicity secretary of the PDP said that George does not have a problem with Jandor, however, he is not happy that Funke took what was meant for Rhodes-Vivour.

He said ”The Atona of Oodua, Chief Olabode George is our leader. He will continue to be our leader, he is a respectable leader for that matter. He is also my brother from Lagos Island.

“At no point did Chief Bode George fail to support Jandor, he might have issues with the deputy governorship candidate of our party, but the party has decided, we are moving on as a party. We respect him a lot and having said that, events have overtaken that, we are working with the elders of the party and the leaders of the party and we are all together.”
