Ronaldo Slams The Media Over Allegations Of Rift With Fernández
Manchester United forward, Cristiano Ronaldo, has slammed the media for making a mountain out of a molehill regarding Bruno Fernandes’ uncomfortable handshake.
The alleged angry exchange between the two Red Devils that occurred in the team’s changing room last week and sparked controversy has been handled.
Fans speculated that Fernandes was not pleased with his club teammate’s remarks in the interview before the handshake, which came after Ronaldo’s explosive interview with Piers Morgan.
After the Five-time Ballon d’Or winner’s interview on November 14th, uncomfortable greetings between the players at the Portuguese camp were caught on camera.
The 37-year-old’s blasting of his Dutch manager, Erik ten Hag, really incensed the United fans, while many United supporters urged him to quit the team, others agreed with what he said in the interview..
The Portuguese talisman claimed that the handshake was exaggerated and that stories were being spread about the two players clashing after the tell-all interview.
According to the Sun, other Portugal players acknowledged that nothing occurred during the handshake.
“In these final stages, there is always controversy. This one with Bruno Fernandes was another one that went wrong for you. You fail a lot. I made a joke with Bruno because my relationship with him is excellent.
“He arrived late because his plane was delayed and I asked him if he had come by boat. It was a prank and they made it into a storm,” Ronaldo said.
