Mane Breaks Silence After World Cup Miss

Senegalese star player, Sadio Mane, has finally spoken out after being ruled out of the World Cup tournament in Qatar.

Naija News recalls that the Senegal forward was selected in Aliou Cissé’s World Cup squad for Qatar even while being doubtful for the event due to injury.

FIFA Secretary-General, Fatma Samoura, had revealed that the star’s attendance at the World Cup was vital for the Senegalese team, and using a witch doctor would help him heal quickly.

However, Mane was ruled out from competing in this year’s World Cup in Qatar as he was unable to fully recuperate from his injury.

Earlier this month, during Bayern Munich’s 6-1 triumph against Werder Bremen, the top player sustained a knee injury.

After it was announced that he will not compete in the 2022 FIFA World Cup due to injury, the Senegal striker has finally spoken out.

Mane addressed the situation in a message on his Twitter account on Sunday and praised God that the Surgery he had was successful.

“Thank God the midweek operation went well. I want to take this opportunity to thank you all and show my appreciation” writes the former Liverpool star.

“This Monday, our dear country will compete in the World Cup, Qatar 2022. I am sure that the Lions will transcend themselves and will approach all matches as a real final.

“I am also convinced that all Senegalese will be in front of the small screen to support and encourage our valiant national team,” he wrote.
