Arsenal Appoints First-Ever Sporting Director

Arsenal has appointed Edu Gaspar as its first-ever sporting director.

Edu spent time with Corinthians and the Brazil national team, where he served as technical coordinator, before joining Arsenal in 2019 as the club’s first-ever technical director.

However, the Former Brazilian professional footballer has impressed hugely at Arsenal, where he spent four years as a player.

Edu has contributed to the high-profile arrivals of players like Martin Odegaard, Aaron Ramsdale, Ben White, and Gabriel Jesus and has enabled them to have an instant effect on the first team.

Arsenal, through their official Twitter page, announced that Eduardo César Daud Gaspar has been made a Sporting Director at the club.

“We are delighted to announce that Edu Gaspar has been appointed as our first-ever Sporting Director.” the statement reads.

Edu has previously been contacted by intermediaries from various parts of Europe to let him know that there is growing interest.

The French powerhouse Paris Saint-Germain is one team that is said to be pleased with his performance, however they are not the only one.

However, according to individuals familiar with the situation, Edu is extremely content at Arsenal and is committed to helping the Gunners win their first Premier League title since moving to the Emirates Stadium.
