Presidency Reacts As FBI Rejects Request To Release Documents On Tinubu
APC Presidential Candidate, Bola Tinubu

On Thursday, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu received N1 billion as support for his 2023 presidential bid, Naija News reports.

The huge donation was given to the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate by a group of two thousand business owners in the Southeastern part of the country.

This news platform reported earlier that the former governor of Lagos State arrived in Owerri, Imo State capital, on Thursday afternoon for a Town Hall meeting with private sector drivers.

Giving a highlight of the meeting, Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma said membership of the group was drawn from the five states of the region.

A spokesman for the group, Emeka Mgbudem, whose report corroborated with Uzodinma, said the group believed in Nigeria and is committed to peace.

He said members contributed N500,000 each because they believed in the APC presidential candidate after reading his Action Plan for Nigeria.

The business, however, demanded that if elected, Tinubu should remove the numerous checkpoints on the roads in the region and also build the roads linking the state capitals in the region.

Responding, Tinubu pledged to introduce technology in the clearing of goods at the ports that will render unnecessary checkpoints on the roads.

He also promised to run a government where all Nigerians are treated equally, Naija News understands.
