An in-law to the wife of All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, Dr Kolapo Akande, has been reported dead.

Reports obtained by Naija News on Thursday revealed that Kolapo, who was married to Oluremi Tinubu’s sister, Dr Lola Akande, died on Wednesday night at the age of 72.

A relative who does not want his name in print told reporters that Kolapo has been sick from an undisclosed ailment for some time.

The families of the deceased, however, are yet to announce the sad development publicly. Naija News understands that Akande’s demise is coming a few days after APC confirmed the death of two party chieftains.

The first incident reported was that of an APC lawmaker at the Lagos State House of Assembly, Abdul-Sobur Olawale, who slumped and died in Jos during the party’s presidential campaign flag-off, While another was the APC in Lagos, Chief Juliana Dupeola Awodogan, popularly known as ‘Iya Oniyan’ who died the same day with Olawale on 15 November 2022.

The woman in her 70s died at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH), Lagos, on Tuesday after a protracted illness.
