I’m Not A Saint, Equally Not A Thief - Peter Obi

The presidential ambition of the flagbearer of the Labour Party, Peter Obi has gained more support 100 days to the 2023 presidential election.

Naija News learnt that South-East and Middle Belt Forum has endorsed Obi.

The groups announced their stand on Wednesday during a news conference in the Federal Capital Territory.

The Chairman of the Forum, Olisa Uzowulu on Wednesday said the former Governor of Anambra State ranks higher than other presidential candidates in 2023.

Uzowulu said, “We are going to go out there and fight a change. That is why you get the South-East, the Middle Belt, the South-South and the South-West to be one body and campaign for Peter Obi. There is no two-way about it.

“The Forum has decided on it. We are going to go out and work for him as a group. There is no choice about that.”

He further stated that the presidential ambition of Obi is people-driven, that it transcends tribe, religion, and ethnicity.

Uzowulu added, “It is the people that are driving Obi, not even the party. They love him, people want a change. They are tired of the situation.

“There is nothing to sell to people anymore – it is not tribe, or religion but the belief that we have to move ahead. People are going to make a choice this time, nobody is going to hoodwink them again.”

He called on members of the forum and its supporters across the regions to vote en masse for Obi in 2023.
