The household of Tayo Ayinde, the Chief of Staff to the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has been thrown into mourning following the death of his wife, Doyin Ojora.

Naija News reports that Ayinde lost his wife to the cold hands of death on Sunday morning, 13 November in Lagos, just 24 hours after she returned from London where she had gone to birth her second child.

Details of her death still remain sketchy as of the time of filing this report.

Doyin was Ayinde’s second attempt at marriage after his first marriage with Titilola ended shortly before Sanwo’s Olu’s gubernatorial project kicked off.

Doyin who was from the Oniru royal family was a niece to boardroom guru, Otunba Adekunle Ojora. She was a popular socialite before her marriage to Ayinde.

Sanwo-Olu Candidacy Threatened

Meanwhile, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) recently asked the Federal High Court in Abuja to nullify the nomination of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State as the gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2023 elections.

The party, in a suit marked FHC/ABJ/CS/1972/22, also prayed the court to render null and void the nomination of 40 Lagos State House of Assembly candidates over the late submission of their nomination forms to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

The plaintiff told the court that APC did not submit the nomination list containing the names of Sanwo-Olu and the 40 House of Assembly candidates, within the mandatory approved timeline.
