The Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar III, has submitted that nothing can be done to prevent floods disaster across Nigerian states.

The monarch who spoke before elites, including some traditional rulers and political bigwigs on Saturday in Bauchi State, said that natural disasters, including floods, were ordained by Almighty Allah and can only be accepted in good faith.

Abubakar, however, urged Nigerians to pray that Allah should prevent the recurrence of floods and other natural disasters in the country.

Naija News understands that the renowned monarch was in Bauchi yesterday to witness the coronation and presentation of Staff of Office to the 12th Emir of Katagum, Alhaji Farouq Umar, who will now oversee the Azare headquarters of Katagum Local Government Area of Bauchi State.
