Buhari Fully In Charge Of Govt, No Cabal – APC Chieftain

The Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on the National Social Investment Programme to the President and a member of the Tinubu-Shettima Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), Ismaeel Buba Ahmed, has dismissed wide claims that the Muhammadu Buhari-led government is controlled by some powerful individuals, referred to as ‘The Cabal.’

The former Youth Leader and Spokesperson of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee stated this in an interview with Sunday Sun.

Asked how he feels when people describe Buhari as a president cabal that hijacked his government, Ahmed said such claims were false.

The presidential aide stated that he has never been to speak with someone outside the government, stressing that all communication with President Buhari through official channels of the federal government.

He said: “People can say all sorts of things. But the president has repeatedly said that he is in charge and for whatever thing that went wrong, he should be held responsible and equally takes credit for whatever is right.

“There is no cabal in charge of his government. I am not aware of anything that I needed to do and I was told to speak to someone who was outside the government.

“Every one of my communications to the president was through the official channels of the government as it should be.”
