The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has taken to social media to give a hint of his meeting with former Military President Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (IBB) in Minna, Niger State, on Friday.

Naija News reports that Atiku and his running mate, Ifeanyi Okowa and other PDP chieftains visited the HillTop residence of the former military leader in Minna today.

Details about the crucial meeting are yet to be made public, but there were expectations that IBB would at the meeting, wade into the feud between Atiku and Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike and his allies.

Taking to his verified Twitter page moments after the meeting, Atiku acknowledged getting counsel from IBB as PDP seeks to unseat the incumbent government to salvage Nigeria from its current state.

“It is always a delight to share time with General Ibrahim Babangida. His counsel and understanding of our country are priceless as we work to recover Nigeria from years of economic and security decline,” Atiku tweeted.

Earlier today, Atiku and other PDP chieftains were in Abuja for the unveiling of the party’s #RecoverNigeria message.

Atiku this morning took advantage of the gathering organized by the Strategic Communications Directorate of the party’s campaign council to interact with young people from the Abuja business community, Naija News understands.
